Our WDM Media Converters allow the synchronous signals from twisted-pair copper cable to travel through a single fiber optic cable utilizing two separate optical wavelengths.

This consists of two standalone devices utilizing SC Simplex type fiber connectors and an RJ45 Ethernet port. They are compatible with 10/100Base-T and 100Base-FX standards. WDM converters allow data normally carried over two strands of fiber to be carried over a single strand.

These converters include advanced features such as auto MDI/MDI-X for TX port, auto negotiation of duplex mode on TX port and half or full duplex operation. Designed for use with single mode fiber (maximum 20km) and category 5e/6 cables (maximum 100m).
